let's get some stuff cleared..
well, the reason why i said that my bear doesn't come with a hearbeat nor extravagant clothing is because it really doesnt come with it. duh!
and why oh why would i want to be sarcastic to those who owned one..
i got no reason to do so :)
it's really sweet to have that bear as a gift from ur loved one.. with the heartbeat n cute clothing.. i can't resist it either.
if only i can sew a shirt for it, i would :)
n since i can't have it, why dont i sew one for my bf instead.
much sweeter isnt it?
well, it all depends on how u look at it.
im sorry to those who think that im being sarcastic with the words that i used.

BUILD-A-BEAR

my very own build a bear..

oh wait. i should call it SEW-A-BEAR.

took me 2 days to cut, sew, stuff, and put everything together.

the teddy was officially born on 190809.. close to midnight.

name will be given soon.

it doesnt come with a heartbeat nor extravagant clothing..

just a green polka-dotty ribbon on the neck (which cant be seen in the pic)

and loads n loads n loads of LOVE :)

March Madness!

march is coming to an end..

i know. i know.

i havent ben updating my blog for quite some time!

so here's the much needed updates..

21st March was the MWL Scrap Idol Crop..

it was my first crop @ MWL!

i was really excited.. really i was!

lol.

we were all geared up as rockstars!

let the pictures do the talking for now..

my first LO for the month of march :)

will be submitting this LO for Groovie Cafe's 2nd Birthday Party *Challenge 4*. Create a layout with these elements on it:

since the BF is away i decided to scrap a picture of us taken during Vday. (to stop me from missing him too much!)

i've never done a LO as colourful as this..

and i sure had FUN putting all the elements together! :)

did u catch the rainbow just now?

it was DOUBLE rainbow!!!

the moment i alighted from the bus, i took out my phone n took a picture of it..

walking in the rain with an umbrella on one hand and a phone on the other..

took a few shots and decided to keep the phone.

nearing the house i decided to turn and looked at the rainbow once again..

and it looks much nicer from where i was standing..

so i took out the phone again n snapped.

and this uncle who happened to walk behind me asked "want me to help u take picture together with the rainbow?"

i was like.. -_- "err no need la uncle. hehe"

i quickly rushed home and took a proper picture using the camera..

its amazing how a rainbow can make one happy.

i was happy.

how i wish we get to see rainbow everyday..

even if it means having to walk under the rain everyday!

i dun mind.

the power of a rainbow might even see me walking around with a colourful raincoat!

the awesome-ness of yesterday has to continue today :)

the first day in CHIJ was great.

the girls are so sweet and are really enthusiastic!

they were all showing off their sticker albums..

and i received stickers from the girls as well :)

these girls are from primary3..

i had a sudden urge to purchase a book from borders..

and ive been wanting to get that 'he's just not that into you' book!

so off i went to borders..

and i had an urge (again!) to sms my dear friend.. whom ive never met.. who always leave comment on my blog.. who inspires me to scrap..

and apparently she was upstairs at Laine's.

so yippeee! (i've been wanting to meet her ok!)

and guess wad.. she was with Yannie.

so double yippeee la!

didnt have a chance to go for a drink coz i had to go tuition!

i had a great day today.

saw my students after weeks of not seeing them.

i was so worried they might compare me with the other teachers after having to attend another class due to my absence last week.

but guess what?!

they missed my lesson.

they were like "how come the other cikgu class so quiet?"

"tak fun seh"

i had to stop them.

and so we continued with our lesson which was "Cita-cita saya"

all sorts of occupation were being asked.

astronaut = orang space

fireman = ahli BOMBa (one started singing mr bommbastic song)

i love today's class.

it was beyond awesome.

the awesome-ness definitely has to continue..

met Farishah to have lunch at westmall.

yes my sec sch buddy! :)

we decided to try pastamania..

its halal now!!! :)

i had the tuna n turkey pasta while she had the prawn aglio.

we had nachos n apple crumble as well.

hmmm.. i wouldnt say that it tasted really2 nice..

it was OK.

i think swensens serves better pasta.

but i shall not complain cause apparently i finished the whole plate of pasta.

nice food + good company = yay-ness

after lunch we headed to zhangde pri sch in tiong bahru cause i needed to sign the contract.

so this friday will be my first lesson there.

and tmr will also be my first lesson at CHIJ Toa Payoh.

cant wait to meet the little girls! :)

planning to wear RED tmr.. we are learning warna (colours)..

so bring on the colours!

everything is back to normal.

im just done looking at some photogs of friends in facebook.

boy! they sure have such a happening life!

life that u never thought or imagined they would have.

i dun wish to say this here..

but my reaction when i saw those photogs was..

its not that im not leading a happening n havoc life..

i am.

but of course in my own way! :)

err.. loads n loads of green tea..

dancing in the comfort of my room.

singing my lungs out in the toilet.

its amazing how people change.

and i find it a little (________) when people u havent met for so long says this "u havent change one bit!"

err.. when u change doesnt mean i have too right :)

im still as geeky/nerdy/so not pretty.

and i still look like the girl that i am back in sec sch :)

i mean when u look at ur friend u'll go..

i would rather change mentally than physically.

and a friend did mention that perhaps we mature too fast.

but we are definitely proud of it!

how & where did i spend my CNY?

by having FUN at Escape Theme Park :)

as early as 10am we (mak ana, bayah&fatin and abg jeman's family) met at JE mrt and took the train down to Pasir Ris.

Mr Amin n sis came down as well..

so it was double the FUN!

the moment we entered, Fatin wanted to take the Vitagen ride(it makes u feel like Superman)

and being a shortie, she had to be accompanied by an adult (ahem.)

who else but me! :)

so off we went flying!

surprisingly she wasnt afraid :)

and many many rides after that..

(pictures of us will be up as soon as i get pictures from Bayah :))

after taking rides with Fatin..

i met up with Mr Amin n sis.

went into the haunted house.. (they went for 2nd round)

scary i tell you.

kept my eyes closed 3/4 of the time.

haha.

den off we went to queue for the Wet & Wild ride.

the queue was super loooooooooong i tell you!

but we queued on :)

and take random pics.

after taking the rides and queueing up for them,

we decided to have lunch.

so off we went!

pizzaHut date with Bayah n Fatin on Sat 17 Jan

someone felt like eating pizza :)

so off we went to Jurong Point to have our brunch.

we ordered the new pizza..

together with the chiko mango n potato salad.

and for fatin, the kids meal dat comes with mousey icecream.

after enjoying the food, we went off to shop for fatin's CNY clothes.

her school requires the kids to wear CNY costume on.. wed?

so yup.

got a nice bright pink one at a mini 'chinatown' in JP.

we jalan-jalan some more until we decide to call it a day.

i had so much fun.

i hope fatin had fun too (even tho she didnt get to purchase any toys!)

its always fun when ur favourite aunty is around! ;)

cant wait for our Escape date!

i had his LO done last dec.

found a picture of kakak n fatin

and i decided to scrap it.

the picture was taken long long time ago..

and i just cant resist using this patterned paper!

i had some quality ME time yesterday..

sat at the usual spot where we always sit.

had a book in hand and a cup of honey green tea.

the weather was great.

the sun wasnt too hot

and the wind was constantly blowing. :)

i had a good 2 hours to myself..

managed to finish reading half the book..

and snapped few pictures.

(so now you know our little spot) :)

as the sun began to set, i finally get to hear my well deserved explanation.

last tuesday was my first lesson at MI.

the year 3 students were such a fun bunch!

so enthusiastic to learn malay.

and its hilarious to hear them conversing in malay.

cant wait to see them again next week.

so yup.

for the next 8 weeks or so, im a CM instructor!

took about an hour plus to complete this.

another one of my submissions at Artzdescrap.

so here's the 3rd one..

a SHOPPING BAG!

cut the tissue box into half cause the box that kak milah gave wasn't in good condition :)

pasted papers around..

and glued ribbon on top to keep the edge neat

punched 2 holes on each side n inserted eyelets..

and tied 2 ribbons.. (dats the handle)

embellish it with alpha stickers..
and stickles :)

there you have it..

a shopping bag for a HOT MAMA :D

SUNBURST YOUTH CAMP

The Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) is a project organized by the

Secretariat of the Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP).

Temasek Holdings assumed responsibilty for STEP in 2005, and going forward, the activities organized for the camp are still with the intent of creating opportunities for the youth of the region to come together for a week of interaction and to build better understanding, friendship and good-will amongst the youth of this region.

here's what i did for a challenge over at ArtzDeScrap

yes, i altered a tissue box.

so what you need is an empty tissue box..

then i cut off the lid..

wrap it up and kept the edge neat by covering it with ribbon..
i took 3/4 of the lid and double i with another cardboard..

wrap it up using the same paper as the base..

insert a really hard cardboard into the box as such..

i glued a mirror onto the back of the lid as such..

attach the lid to the box..

the blue ribbon that you see at the side is to hold the lid up so that it won't fall back!

then we place all the essentials..

lipstick, blusher, compact powder, ya-daa, ya-daa..

decorated the lid with some flowers and 'blingblings'..

and a cute little pink shoe for the 'knob'..

so there you have it..

a pretty pretty make-up box!

wheeeeeeeeee... :)

something dat i dun even know..

dat resulted to this.

yes. its very very itchy.

and it hurts at times..

especially when i put the eye drop.

a challenge done over at Artz de Scrap

the challenge is to alter a frame.

and thanks to their generousity, i was given a free frame!

(first 6 to register)

so here's my take on the challenge..

i painted the frame with gold..

added glitter glue to the sides to make swirls..

added ribbon at the bottom..

not forgetting the pink blingblings and 'pearls'..

thickers n more thickers!

so here's a GOLDEN MOMENT for you.

fully inspired by my grandma's picture!

hmm.. am i gonna give this to nyai?

of course.. not.

im gonna put it in my room :)

not being selfish here..

but i can just foresee her saying "alah. ape benda ni. nyai bukannya nampak sangat!"

(what is this? i cant really see)

nvm, will show her when she comes :)

and yes, i took 3.5 hours to complete this..

here's another LO dat i did from scratch with no sketch to follow.

its a lil hard when u've been too dependant on sketches! :)

i had the urge to do a LO of us because he was so kind/nice enough to buy me stuffs from MWL..

and its only right to do a LO of him (with me of course!)..

using the given thickers and embellishments :)

apart from contributing the materials,

he provided with the journalling as well.

i know that he wont have the time and 'tak kuasa' to do this for me.

so i did it for myself but at the same time getting him involved.

he's 'indirectly' doing it for me la :)

and what i love most about this LO is the bottom part.

yup, the flowers n the purple heart n the blingblings as well :)

and not forgetting the ribbons at the side..

dat i had to insert into the ready made holes..

'sew in love' - (so in love).. hehe

i had a fun time doing this LO..

with him on my mind of course!

i scrapped Nina's photo for this LO..

coz all her photos seem proportion.

i manually cut the circles!

using a bottle cap to trace n then cut..

my eyes a lil crossed after all the cuttings! :)

(its back to normal now)

popped up effect of the photos..
cant really see from the picture here.
and yes, i've run out of the letter 'S' n therefore the mirror image 'S' for the 'SMiLe'
its actually '&'.. hehe

punched a few holes..
(thanks kak lin for lending me ur tools - the ketuk besi look alike n the colourful eyelets)

kadang-kala kehilangan itu memberikan satu jawapan.

satu jawapan yang selama ini dicari.

usia mengajar kita tentang erti kedewasaan..

dengan akal dan fikiran yang waras, kita dapat berfikir dengan matang..

tetapi apabila perasaan dan emosi menguasai,

segala-galanya menjadi sesuatu yang rumit.

terlalu rumit sehinggakan tiada jalan penyelesaian yang dapat diambil.

seperti yang telah dikatakan..

tidak semua kehilangan itu menyedihkan..

malah.. ianya meringankan beban.

tidak perlu berfikir panjang..

tidak perlu sentiasa berasa bersalah..

tidak perlu sentiasa meminta maaf..

tidak perlu lagi dijadikan kambing hitam.

cukup sekadar disini.

sesungguhnya, diri ini sudah terlalu penat menjadi si 'jahat'..

walaupun yang jahat dan yang bodoh adalah orang lain.

jangan terlalu mengikut emosi.

akal dan fikiran diberikan untuk digunakan dengan sebaiknya.

berfikiran la secara matang.

merendah-rendahkan diri sendiri bukan caranya untuk menagih simpati.

menagih simpati.. dan secara tidak langsung memburukkan orang lain.

mungkin cara seperti iu harus diberikan tepukan gemuruh kerana ianya mudah memperdayakan orang2 yang juga tidak dapat berfikir secara rasional.

alhamdulillah kerana diri ini telah dikurniakan dengan akal dan fikiran..

yang dapat berfikir secara matang dan rasional..

dan tidak terlalu mengikut emosi..

dan dapat mengawal jiwa yang kadang-kala sensitif.

kepada rakan2 yang memahami..

terimakasih kerana berkongsi kepercayaan yang sama..

kita sentiasa berada ditempat yang salah..

dan sentiasa meminta maaf..

tiba-tiba dua pelajar memanggil "cikgu!"

kepala pun mendongak dan mata terus memandang ke arah mereka..

dan mulut terus terlopong :O

ya Allah!

mereka menunjukkan saya satu muka surat dari majalah itu yang memaparkan ABG NUAR!

macamnana la mulut saya tak terlopong!

sungguh klasik 'expression' muka saya masa tu!

dan selapas melihat gambar tu, fikiran saya sedikit terganggu..

hati saya mula berbunga..

seolah2 melihat gambar 'crush' sewaktu disekolah menengah.

so wad did i do on NATIONAL DAY?

the day began with us walking at the super loooooong bridge..

starting from alexandra..

and someone just had to start the day right by doing something great!

nampak tak muka saya yang sungguh manis ni..

inilah akibatnya kalau buat perkara yang I DON'T LIKE!

ni gambar boleh buat cover album untuk lagu jiwang2..

but just how long can it last kan..

after the looooooooong walk..

and a little talk..

really2 little.. (i didnt talk throughout the whole journey ok)

marah ah konon..

i decided to have lunch at ramen ten.

yes. dah marah2, mesti nak makan yang sedap2!

so after lunch we made our way to town.

yes. i wanted to see fireworks.

so off we went!

sementara menanti ketibaan orang2 yang terhormat..

kita dengan segala hormatnya, mengambil gambar!

al-maklum lah.. orang tu pun baru beli kamera..

ke'jakun'an nya masih terserlah :)

so we snapped all the waaaaay till we saw the much awaited BUNGA API!

right after that, we made our way to Bugis to take the bus down to bt timah..

to have supper with the 'pengantin baru'.

was supposed to meet during the day..

but due to some unforseen circumstances, we had to meet at nite..

so after eating n talking n laughing n depositing,

kim decided to bring us to somewhere nice..

yes.

it was indeed a nice place..

romantic gitu la :)

and sungguh tak sah kalau tak bergambar mesra kan..

so apa lagi.. snap snap snap la! :)

we had a good time asking each other questions..

it was a mini "getting to know you" session :)
best ok!

memang seronok sekali hari saya..

tapi lagi seronok bila saya sampai rumah!

bayar niat eh..

not only do i miss her..

i miss everything about the wedding..

the preparation..

the late nights (doing the bunga rampai n all)..

the last minute hunting for yellow baju kurung..

the calls to ensure n double check that everything will run smoothly on sunday..

i miss the excitement.

i miss everything.

i miss being the bridesmaid..

i miss running up n down..

opening the doors..

smiling to the bride when she decides to turn to her left..

n im missing her now..

it all happened too fast.

and of course during their cake cutting..

so it really felt good to hear her again..

shots taken 7 hours before he flies off..

n him not knowing that i'll be making my way to T3 after dat :)

surprise.surprise.

so he took half day yesterday thinking that he can only meet me during the day.

told him dat i wont be sending him off..

i will feel sad u know.

and so he said ok.

tapi saya gagahkan diri untuk pergi ke airport..

and took the risk of having to take the train back home..

all alone.

dapat saya bayangkan betapa menyeksanya kalau balik sorang2.

anyway, i made my way to T3 from town aft meeting nad.

so aft meeting him, i met nad..

yes.

we had our late lunch at delifrance and did a lil window shopping

and off we went!

and yes.

i reached T3 at about 8.45..

met the parents. waited for his colleagues. took some pictures.

and he checked in at 9.30..

we slowly made our way to the departure gate soon after they were done..

oh sungguh i dont like!

so after saying wad we needed to say, its time to bid goodbye.

another 'oh sungguh i dont like!' moment.

so after the waves n all (i tak cry ok) we left.

n yes. the parents were so nice to send me back..

its so not along their way..

managed to catch the LOVE formation while onboard the ferry.

it was so nice..

pure luck dat we got to see it..

they were having NDP preview n we were on our way back from Batam..

n from where we were, i could see tiny (really tiny) helicopter flying..

and then came the i-dont-know-wad planes..

and i was soo looking forward to the LOVE formation..

but im sure it was all gone after meeting me rite :)
n we had a long talk...
about everything..
well, not really everything..
more about that thing called l-o-v-e.
how some people can fall in love easily..
how some can go on a date with so many different guys..
how some people can easily attract guys..
its just HOW? (yes. HOW with a HUGE question mark)

well nad, only smarties have the answer! :)

and of course a topic on engagement.

how will u hold yours?

1) a family affair (it means ur family n the important people that are required only. not the whole family plus nieces n nephews)

2) moderate (invite a couple or two relatives. a couple or two. not the whole lot!)

3) grand (jemput satu kampung!)

personally i'll choose the first one.

skip the kecoh-ness.

well, i dont deny that different people have different thoughts about this whole engagement thingy..

but then again, to be spending a sum on such a ceremony is abit too much i guess.

i'd rather save up that money for the wedding instead.

seriously.

and i dont think i would want to have a pre-pengantin moment (glamorous baju n gorgeous make-up. i think a normal baju kurung will be perfectly fine)

shall just wait for the real one when the time comes.

i heard diff reasons..

1) to get to know each other even better

i will take that as reasonable if u've been in a relationship for lets say less than 2 years.. if more than that, do u still need more time? and like i said, its not as if u get to stay together and hence know more of his habits at home n wadnots. am i right? right!

2) so that we will start saving up

u mean if u dont get engaged u wont be saving up for marriage? u wont religiously save up? work extra hard to earn extra cash? lets say within that 2 years u saved a sum.. den things doesnt turn out the way u want it to.. den wad? jolly2 all the money that u've saved? of course not kan! u will use that for ur marriage with perhaps another guy. so the point is, y must get engaged just to be focused on saving up.

3) at least ada ikatan

ahah. ikatan.. ikatan cincin? its not like an ikatan yang sah or something. more freedom to go out together? (well i think it shld b the other way round after engagement) ye lah, nanti kalau orang tanya "ni siapa?" "oh. ni tunang saya". it sounds a bit better to some den "on. ni gf saya". kalau tunang macam 'up' sikit ah standard. aiyah. wad standard i also dunno.

well, all i have to say is that 'ni semua rezeki masing2. ada kelebihan, buat la besar2.. kalau tak kecik2 aje' and of course the reason behind all this engagement hanya Allah saje yang tahu.. well, its way toooooo early to say anything, but i would want a simple family affair kind of thing.. and it shouldnt be longer than 2 years. a year would be find.. n of course that one year will be used for preparation.. not so much of getting to know each other better because i think i would definitely have known him that well to be engaged n thus get married! :)

while some think that im busy..
well, let me recall wad i did during the June break..
hey i didnt do much actually..
was staying at home most of the time.
it just so happened that went plans were made, i have something on with the family.
so i wouldnt say i was busy busy.
lets just say 'wrong timing' la.
n its not as if i was with the bf the whole time..
didnt meet him much in fact.
n yes, i do miss going out with my friends..
of course i do.
but sometimes, impromptu meet-ups are waaay better then planned ones.
never bother to plan coz u will end up disappointed. seriously.
so i just text-ed nad.. n see if she's free today.
coz im planning to get some stuffs at wheelock after school.
still waiting for her reply..

but dont worry, u just have to rmbr that u have to have 1 isi utama (the point that answers the qn) n 1 isi sampingan. n u can easily get 3 marks for that.
i know its easier said than done..
but im sure u guys can do it!
n, watch out for ur spelling errors n all..
try to minimise ur careless-ness..
now is not the time to make silly spelling mistakes n wrong usage of words.
hmm.. wad else do i have to say..

17th may - P Ramlee musical was awesome! We sat at the same row as PGL the musical that i went with Bayah.. so yes, it was close.. thank you YOU for getting those seats. let me just say it again, IT WAS AWESOME! n yes, so 'colour-colour' la.. from the props to the costumes.. :)

20th may - Great news.. a good friend of mine is getting married in august. yes, in abt 3 months time.. and im getting all excited.. kimfad, im so so happy for u guys! :) can i be your maid of honour? self proclaimed k! yes. so yani will be ur maid of honour.. woohoo.. cant wait to start making the bunga manggar n the bunga rampai! of shades of purple and white....

22nd may - Got myself a book at Borders.. did a little shopping.. renewed my bodyshop card, yaadaa yaadaa..
